February is typically a cold month but you can still find things to do in Athens. There isn’t as much happening this month as other seasons, but here are a few things you might enjoy. These suggestions are mainly family focused, but there are many options for downtown dining and live music opportunities.
February is Orchid Madness month with a wine and cheese reception to preview the orchid collection, classes on repotting, care and a celebration for the Vanilla bean orchid.

Student Art Competition Art show. Exhibit of art by Georgia students in the annual competition funded by J.A. and H. G. Woodruff, Jr. Charitable Trust. This is the first formal exhibit of winners throughout the years.
