Southeast Clarke Park – newly renovated dog park
535 Whit Davis Road
This park has a different kind of landscape plan. When you first see it, it may look like they got interrupted while mowing. That’s not the case. This park was design to give a shorter maintained lawn for small dogs and a meadow like lawn for larger dogs. The mowing schedule is 1 week for lawn areas and once every 8 weeks mowing for the meadows.
There are walking trails around the park as well as tables and benches for pet owners use. It’s a beautiful facility that was only being used by one person when I stopped by. We had rain earlier in the day but she said it’s usually pretty busy in the early evening as dog owners take advantage of the nice weather.
